History
Two young and adventurous Michigan boys who spent their summers "up north at the cottage" fishing for walleye and bass on Black Lake and Traverse Bay went separate ways after graduating from Michigan State together in the late 1980's. One left for Minnesota and began a new outdoor life of going "Up-A-The-Lake" to Lake 14, Serpant, Ten Mile, Gull and to the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area). There he met a third cabin lake-goer from Wisconsin and although he is still considered an outsider for his poor clothing selection and lack of general taste, he brings a wealth of knowledge from the nautical, second home monitoring, and hunting fields.
Following many springs and summers of hearing problems about septics freezing, pipes bursting, docks not getting installed, wet towels, lawns going unmowed and difficultities in finding a moose throw pillow...they decided to do something about it. ComfortableCabin.com is born from this and their sheer love of laying in a hammock and reading a book while cool waves bounce along under the dock.
